Bob Kuperman
Chairman and CEO, DDB Needham New York, USA

For the past 38 years, Bob Kuperman has been part of creating some of the most historically famous and brand effective advertising in the U.S.

He began his career in 1963 at Doyle Dane Bernbach as an art director, working on much of their landmark, award-winning advertising, and during his three years as head of the Volkswagen group, created such classics as “1949 Auto Show.” A collection of his Volkswagen ads hang in the Smithsonian Institute.

As President and CEO of the Americas at TBWAWorldwide, Bob Kuperman was personally responsible for the global advertising on Sony, Seagram and Apple.

As President and CEO of Chiat/Day, Los Angeles, the office tripled in billings to over $1 billion. Chiat/Day was voted Agency of the Year by both Adweek and Advertising Age in 1991, 1995 and again in 1997 (as TBWA Chiat/Day).
